It’s all in the details…..designed to last for generations. Cherry Pond Designs uses traditional fine furniture making details passed down to us from our fathers. Our six generations of furniture makers before us have proven that the traditional craft of fine furniture making and our attention to detail will stand the test of time and last for generations to come.

We use only premium hardwood selected by hand every time we create a new piece, often the same board is used throughout the piece to ensure the wood grain will appear in sequence on adjacent drawer fronts,  this creates a beautiful and continuous appearance on cases and drawers.  Drawers are built with dovetailing in the front and back and feature “flush inset” construction for strength and durability. Close grain hardwood in birch or maple is used for the drawer sides, mortise and tenon joints are used for incredible strength and allow for the natural movement in hardwood. Exceptionally stable our pieces are not only strong and durable they are beautiful as well.  Hand rubbed oil finishes are allowed to sit and cure bringing out the natural beauty of the wood grain.

 

Made to order your furniture can be as distinctive as you are - choose walnut, cherry, maple or butternut, select the drawer pull or knob, you decide.  Whether you choose some of our traditional shaker style pieces or some of our new more contemporary pieces, you will not be disappointed.
